Average asking prices remain stable in January

The average asking price of Saskatoon listings on saskhouses.com during the month of January was $314,496, a drop of $14,000 from January of 2009, but almost identical to January 2007's average asking price.

January was a slower than normal month for listings, with a total of 82 new listings added to the market, but sales were brisk, with 44 saskhouses.com customers reporting their houses sold during the month of January, and many others reporting offers pending on their properties.

The average asking price of listings in Martensville in January 2010 was $285,200, the average asking price of Warman listings was $316,176, and the average asking price of Prince Albert listings was $261,388.

More than 25 million dollars worth of Saskatchewan property was listed on saskhouses.com, the province's leading website for private sales, in January of 2010.
