Average asking prices remain stable in March

The average asking price of Saskatoon listings on Saskatchewan's leading website for private home sales was $314,792 during the month of March, a decrease of just over $2,000 from February of 2010.

March's average asking price of $314,792 was almost $8,000 lower than the average asking price of $322,733 in March of 2009.

March was a the busy month for listings and sales on saskhouses.com, with more than 200 new listings going on the private sale market during the month, and with 55 customers reporting their properties sold during the month of March.

Many other sellers indicated they have offers pending on their properties, and from all the reports we are receiving from customers, the selling market is still strong, with lots of buyers still looking to make a purchase.

The average asking price of Martensville listings during the month of March was $349,211 - the average asking price of Warman listings was $319,209, and the average asking price of listings in Prince Albert was $289,092.
