Average asking prices dip slightly in 2009

While house prices in many parts of North America plummeted in 2009, house prices in Saskatchewan remained pretty stable.

The average asking price of listings in Martensville was $349,955, the average asking price of Warman listings was $322,630, and the average asking price of listings in Prince Albert was $269,627.

More than 500 million dollars of Saskatchewan property was advertised for sale on saskhouses.com during 2009, with 689 customers successfully selling their homes privately.

Most forecasts predict that Saskatchewan housing prices will remain fairly stable in 2010, as Saskatchewan's economy remains among the strongest in North America
